The house has been built in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles in 1929-1930. The last kitchen remodel took place in 1988.

The newly remodel project was a bold approach by taking off all walls and floors down to the studs and subfloors. The budget was merely $50K - $60K.

Materials used: IKEA cabinetry, 12”x24” porcelain tile on walls from California, 24”x48” porcelain floor tile from Florence, Italy, Appliances - Samsung, Bosch, Kenmore, IKEA

The original Spanish Revival houses style are famous with multiple arches within its interior. This same concept was followed in the newly remodeled kitchen space by replacing existing rectangular doors with open archways that made for great interior flow with the rest of the house - dining and living spaces. Contrasting and bold color scheme of dark brown, white and vibrant red allows for extra crisp and life celebratory feelings. This kitchen has a central place between the rest of the house and its elaborate outdoor living space, adorned with a vast surrounding greenery of a spacious backyard.
